A short list of thing actors should study, learn and apply...
Lynch coaching helps actors to have a clearer understanding of the value of acting tools and how the actor can use these tools to make themselves a better actor. We start with on camera audition skills. We move on to exploring s exercises and methods, and applying them when working in front of the camera.
Some of the topic and techniques we cover:
-How to work on camera to showcase your talents.
-How and why to bring the most out of the other actor.
-Acting is reacting, staying in focus
-Listening and communication skills.
-The business of the industry and how to apply your talents and skills in your business life.
-The inner life of the character – how to make the character’s world come to life before and after they call “action.”
-How to get yourself emotionally full – how to fill yourself up with the required emotion, repeatedly and dependably.
-Imagination work – specific steps the actor can take to believe in the imaginary situation of the story; how to play and have fun with your performance.
-Being spontaneous, organic, in the moment and intuitive with your performance versus being analytical, planned and indicative.
-The difference between acting before a live audience and acting for the camera.
-Breaking down a script – how to search a script for clues about the character, emotion and story.
-How to make choices that make your performance memorable. Be something the editor/director will want to keep in the final edit.
-Where to go for more, to grow, to study, to perform and to advance in your career.
