I am told certain teachers and producer who do not pay their talent are telling actors not to bother with theater, and that they toss away resumes that have theater on them.
Why then do all of the actors on the National Board of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA) do Broadway and other theater? Where are the stars of "Harry Potter:, "Star Trek", "How I Met Your Mother" when they are not makng a movie or tv show...
Oh, on stage doing theater.
What experience do actors who get the parts on a regular basis have?
Never let anyone tell you otherwise.
We learn the art, craft, skills and develop the talent that makes for believable roles and a career on the stage..
Take theater classes, if only to learn character and scene study the way that works, and has for hundreds of years.
Do you get my point.
Oh right....DO THEATER!
