Actors, young directors and creatives are the blood that makes our American product sell world wide. And those who are raised in poverty, or at least middle class have the life experience to tell the stories that need to be told, to be the realistic characters and to breath life into our art form, craft and business.
Yet Hollywood and those who soak their lives in it, are demanding actors pay for on-line services, subscriptions, registrations, overpriced classes, to be seen by the very people who make money by casting them and actors are buying into it as just the way things are done.
It breaks the bank, the will and the ability of talent to grow to the levels needed to contribute on the grand scale, to make stories come to life and to sell Hollywood to the world.
The people who can afford to do their jobs helping actors are making money off actors who have a hard time making rent.
Cost of living in the City of Angels is skyrocketing, but those eating their young, the very talent they need to grow, do not care. There are always dreamers to replace them, "a sucker is born every minute" (from the Musical "Barnum").
Picture a casting director in their plush home, overlooking the sea, or up on a mountain somewhere and the actor living in a car or with a dozen other actors in an apartment meant for two or three.
That's why I do what I do.

I have known and worked with Art Lynch on Screen Actors Guild affairs for over 35 years. I have been impressed with his knowledge and ability to teach, lead and participate in complex government and entertainment industry affairs. Art is a leader who gets things done. He is also a professional writer, journalist and broadcaster. As a professional actor, teacher, business operator, Art Lynch has a sense of the working operations within the entertainment communications industry in general. His character is upright, standing firm to his convictions, and works diligently at his craft. I highly recommend Art."

I learned from my studies with you, and helping with your class. Your resume is quite impressive, and it speaks for itself. Anybody would be a fool to make their own decisions about you before meeting you to see what you're about. You are great at everything that you do, and you're one of the few that cares about the basics.
